In Aloha, you can create customized rates for different platforms and seasons, adapting to the specific needs of each period. This means you can apply different rates to each OTA (online travel agency) and adjust prices according to the season. For example, you can offer promotions for low seasons or increase prices during high seasons. This feature gives you full control over the prices you set for each lodging unit.
Additionally, rates are now separated by units for easier management, so if this is how you’d like to set it up, you will need to create a rate plan per unit for each channel:
Example: If I have 3 channels (Airbnb, Booking, and Expedia) I need to create 1 rate plan per channel Plus, an additional plan for direct bookings. Alternatively, a rate plan can be shared across each channel.
How to Create a Rate Plan
In the left-hand side menu, select "Rate Plans."
Click on "Create Rate Plan."
Select the unit you want to apply the rate to.
Assign a name to the rate so you can easily identify it. For example:
"[BDC] - Non-refundable" to indicate it’s a non-refundable rate on Booking.com.
"[ABB] - Standard Rate" to indicate a standard rate on Airbnb.
Select if the plan is for the direct channel.
Then decide if your rate plan will include Advanced Settings, where you can assign minimum stay and maximum stay restrictions.
After the Initial Setup of Your Rates, Follow These Steps for Advanced Configuration:
Set the Rate Currency:
Choose the currency in which you want to set your rates. You can select from several options, such as USD, COP, ARS, CLP, PYG, and others.
Choose How to Publish the Rate:
You have two options for publishing rates: per unit or per person.
Per Unit:
If you choose this option, you only need to create a basic plan. This is the simplest way to manage your rates.
Per Person:
If you choose to publish per person, you have three options:
Manual: Set a specific price per person. This option gives you complete control over the price per individual.
Derived: Set a price for the base occupancy of the unit, then adjust the cost by a percentage or additional amount based on the number of guests. This option is similar to how rates work on Booking.com. You can also set differentiated rates for children and infants.
Automatic: As the name suggests, this option sets a default rate based on primary occupancy. Then, a percentage or amount is uniformly added or subtracted for each guest, including children and infants.
Once you have adjusted all the necessary settings, make sure to click "Save" to apply all changes.
