What is a "Unit Type"?

A "unit type" is a general category that groups similar units together. This means that all units within a "unit type" share the same features and amenities. This classification simplifies property management for administrators and enhances the booking experience for guests.

For example, if you have 5 rooms (units) labeled as "Standard Double," instead of listing each one separately, they are grouped into a single "unit type." When making a reservation, the guest will select a "Standard Double" unit and will be assigned one of the available units in that category upon arrival.

Benefits of Unit Types for Guests

  • Clearer booking process: Guests know exactly what to expect since all units in the same category share identical features.

  • Flexible assignments: Grouping units ensures a consistent experience and allows the most suitable unit to be assigned at the time of stay.

  • Streamlined processes: Managing categories instead of individual units optimizes booking times and communication with guests.

Choosing a "unit type" is a practical and reliable way to ensure your experience is simple and hassle-free.
