How SIRE and TRA Work within Aloha
How SIRE and TRA Work within Aloha

Here’s how it works!

Updated over a month ago

In Colombia, all tourist accommodations are required to report certain information about both the property and the guests through the SIRE (Foreigners Information Reporting System) and TRA (Accommodation Registration Card). These systems allow authorities to monitor and ensure the legality of tourism operations while also ensuring guest safety.

Completing this information correctly is vital to comply with regulations and avoid penalties.

Using SIRE and TRA in the Aloha Platform

Within the Aloha platform, submitting the SIRE and TRA forms is done automatically, as long as you’ve correctly set up the required information in the system under the “Profile” section.

Process: How to Complete Guest Information

Creating the Reservation:

When creating a reservation in Aloha, make sure to complete all the guest details. It is crucial to include a valid email address since this will be used to send the registration form link. Without this email, the guest will not receive the necessary form to complete their information in SIRE or TRA.

Guests from OTAs (Booking, Expedia, etc.):

For reservations coming from OTAs like Booking, it’s important to note that these providers often use masked email addresses to protect customer privacy. Despite this, the same email will be used to send the registration form link. The guest will receive the link but will need to copy the URL and manually complete the form.

What Happens if the Guest Doesn’t Complete the Form Before Arrival?

If the guest has not completed the SIRE or TRA form and has already arrived at the property, it’s important to remind them that this is a requirement they must fulfill.

You can share the form link via their reservation created in the calendar within Aloha.

Simply go to their reservation and click on the blue button to resend the form to their registered email.

Through Aloha, you can track reservations and check if the guest has accessed and completed the form. If they haven’t, you can resend the link for them to complete it as soon as possible, even during their stay.
