Importance of Rate Plans in Aloha for OTA Connections

It is crucial to remember that rate plans are the foundation of all connections or mappings between Aloha and OTAs (Booking, Expedia, Airbnb, etc.). Without a specific rate plan for an OTA, no smart rules will be applied or reflected on the connected platform.

Here are the necessary steps to create a new rate plan and, if needed, safely remove the old one.

Steps to Change a Rate Plan

  1. Create the New Rate Plan

    • First, create the new rate plan in Aloha. You can customize its pricing, policies, and smart rules as needed.

  2. Check the Mapping of the Old Plan

    • Before deleting the old rate plan in Aloha, it is essential to verify that it is not mapped to any channel in the channel manager.

    • Go to the Actions menu in the existing rate plan and select Edit.

  3. Remove the Old Plan’s Mapping

    • Once in the Mapping section, locate the old rate plan and click the trash bin icon to remove it from active connections.

  4. Connect the New Rate Plan

    • Finally, associate the new rate plan with the desired channel, ensuring that all details are correctly configured and ready to be reflected on the OTAs.
