Connecting your property on Despegar with Aloha is a simple process. Here’s how to do it, step by step:
Access Despegar Extranet
Log in to the Despegar extranet using your property credentials.
Go to the "General Settings" section.
Click on "Channel Manager Connection."
On this screen, you will see all current connections (if any).
Remove or deactivate previous connections
Before connecting with Aloha, make sure to deactivate or remove any previous connections from other channel managers or PMS systems.Add the connection with Aloha
Click on the "Add Channel Manager / PMS" button.
From the dropdown menu, select "Channex" from the list of providers.
Accept the terms and conditions.
Despegar will generate the following credentials:
API Key
Property ID
Username
Important note: Copy and save the API key at this moment as it will not be shown again. If you lose it, you will need to reset the connection to obtain a new key.
Connect Aloha to Despegar
Log into your Aloha account and go to the "Channel Manager" tab, then "Channels."
Create a new channel by selecting "Despegar" as the OTA.
Complete the following fields:
Partner Account: Default is Channex.
Hotel ID: This is your property ID on Despegar.
Username: Use the username provided by Despegar.
Password: Enter the API key generated on Despegar (this is not the usual extranet password).
Map the Despegar channel in Channex
The mapping for Despegar in Aloha works just like with other channels:
Associate each room type and rate plan of your property with those available on Despegar.
With these steps, your property will be connected and ready to receive bookings from Despegar directly in Aloha through Channex.
